Based in Berkshire, the Budget Road Revivals garage is open to a live audience each episode. Frequent filming locations include local race tracks and dealerships. Additionally, the trio travel up and down the country - whether it be an odyssey to Bradford or a race to Brighton - while Martin involves the public by hosting his halftime segment in a range of high street hotspots.

The trio of presenters give an overview of the show, featuring the team’s Top 10 Starter Cars ranking, guide to changing a flat tire, and a backwards driving challenge. Martin Lewis begins his half-time segment by explaining how road tax works in the UK.
Taylor seeks to experience the UK’s wildest weather, travelling to the top of the country in a woefully incapable city car. Meanwhile Edd showcases the effects of exposure on cars, presenting solutions to rust, sun bleaching and frost, and Martin compares the costs of weather-related repairs. Finally, Sebastian takes a stab at the circuit in foggy conditions.
Back in the garage, the three hosts completely deconstruct a Toyota Yaris, analyse its insides, then attempt to put it back together from scratch. When their efforts stall, the live audience gets involved. At the midpoint of the episode Martin explains the online market for specialist car parts.
Sebastian and Taylor visit the National Motor Museum in the New Forest to see the effects of cars on the environment, while Edd speaks to young people about being eco-friendly as a driver. Martin’s segment demonstrates the best driving approaches for fuel economy. Next, the trio demonstrate the mechanical and chemical differences between petrol, diesel and electric.
The three hosts compare their personal car purchasing histories, and discuss renting vs buying. Martin takes the helm in an extended segment as he gives the best tips for buying, running and insuring a vehicle, and invites young adults to share their money problems. Following this advice, Edd and Taylor head to the auctions to find the best deals on the market.
The team go full throttle as they attempt to reach Brighton in the shortest time possible. But there’s a catch: each must journey exclusively by either A-roads (Sebastian), B-roads (Edd) or C-roads (Taylor). During his midway feature Martin looks at the navigation apps that give you the best bang for your buck.
